you're watching tuesday in parliament with me, alicia mccarthy.revealed that the home office is investigating more than 60 cases of people who could have been wrongly removed or deported as part of the windrush scandal. those arriving in the uk between 19118 and 1971 from caribbean countries have been labelled the windrush generation, a reference to the ship empire windrush, which arrived in 19118, bringing workers in response to post—war labour shortages in the uk. problems have arisen since changes to immigration law in 2012, which require people to have documentation to work, rent a property or access benefits, including health care. giving evidence to the home affairs committee, sajid javid said officials have been looking through 8,000 records dating back to 2002. out of the 8,000, so far a focus on 63, there's something in their record that indicates that they could have been in the uk before ‘73. who have been removed or deported? who have been removed or deported. he said 32 of those deported had been foreign offenders. 31 were people remo

but for now, from me, alicia mccarthy, goodbye.is risk of thunderstorms. we have already seen some of them across the southern counties of england. that is because you are a little bit closer to the main area of activity, a big area of low pressure and it could be unstable across iberia, biscay, into france. we have seen the first signs of this wanting to drift north across the british isles as we get into sunday. a muggy start here, fresher further north, sunshine around, that‘s the shore. after the fresh start, look how that recover. 22, 23, quite widely across parts of england scotland. maybe 21 in northern ireland, 25 in the south and feeling close. you can see the storms become fewer and further between and are still close night in the south. the two ridges dribble away well down into single figures. temperatures are still being influenced by the continental air. that amount of cloud are around but not without the prospect of a decent, hazy sunny spells. we could see another spiral of cloud activity later on in the afternoon o

but for now, from me, alicia mccarthy, goodbye. hello once again.y been making the headlines. and we are not alone. a quick look at western europe and you see that there are plenty of thunderstorms to be had here. great rafts of cloud across france and germany. in the forthcoming week, we will see further thunderstorms in places. it will be on the warm side initially. light winds in the forecast. low cloud to study forecast on monday there were from the lothians down to about the wash. elsewhere, a lot of sunshine to start the day. once that heat pour into the middle half the afternoon, showers to parts of east anglia, the southern counties of england, and up into wales. the eastern shore is plagued in places, but elsewhere, much of scotland, the north of england and wales, and into northern ireland, dry, fine, and sunny, and really very warm as well. 20—something in a number of locations. in the south—east, it could get to 28 degrees, we think. that will keep showers going across the southern counties for a good part of the evening. the low cloud w
