i'm alison harmelin in for anne-marie green. this morning bone-rattling bitter cold grips an area from the upper midwest to england. this latest arctic surge promises to fill subzero windchills through the weekend. some will break cold records that have stood for decades. it stretches from the canadian border to the gulf coast. and meteorologist eric fisher from our boston station wbz says it's not just the cold to worry about. another punishing winter storm is on the way. >> well a very cold morning to end out the week. it could feel as cold as 35 below zero out the door. this is just the beginning. colder air is on the way this weekend. look at saturday's lows. 25 below at international falls, 4 below in chicago. teens getting down all the way into nashville. as we look at the high temps on friday, the cold air is in the northeast. frigid air. a few places will stay below zero. by sunday we're looking at 30s and 40s in the southeast. the florida panhandle looking at potential freezes and single didn'ts into the northeast and w
