good morning, i'm tony perkins. >> i'm alison seymour. right now a gunman is in custody after a mass shooting outside of a movie theater in the denver suburb of aurora. i apologize, it was inside that theater. making it more frightening. >> the town's police chief says at least 50 others were hurt. sherri ly is following the story. she has been all morning and she joins us live now with the latest from our newsroom. sherri? okay, we don't have sherri yet. what we can tell you is that police do have a suspect in custody. he is apparently a man in his early 20s. some 14 people shot and killed. up to 50 others injured. they've been taken to upwards of six area hospitals. some of the injured are in critical condition. some of those shot are children, including one 3-month- old. we do not know the condition of the 3-month-old who was shot. police are also outside of the suspect's apartment. the suspect apparently indicated to police that there were explosives inside that apartment, so that apartment is now being carefully searched. sherri ly i
