now earlier we spoke to alison stewart alan from international marketing partners we often hear whether boeing misread its relationship with american aviation regulations. well i think that's one part of it i mean there's a bigger issue going on here which is about the culture but wing clearly the whistleblowers that wrote memos and tried to escalate their concerns about the 737 max the chain of command were suppressed they weren't listened to so i think you know mr calhoun has a lot on his plate the question of the challenge is going to be what does he prioritize is it the f.a.a. relationship is it changing the culture at this enterprise and clearly we know from the u.s. business culture in that the emphasis of solemn speed and getting to market quickly and therefore one of the things that has close them dearly is taking that approach literally to the extreme and getting the 737 to market quickly without necessarily educating the pilots and a lot of other people that have concerns about the aircraft so they're much more fundamental mix fixes i think that calhoun will need to consider r
