that's what happened to our next guest, alisyn cavara.morning to you. >> good morning. >> bring us back to may and what happened to your brother? >> on may 1st, my brother was camping in a campground in oakridge, oregon, with an acquaintance of his. they had planned to go camping and fishing over the weekend. and during that time, there was an altercation. they had both been drinking and it escalated. and the alleged person who is accused of his crime picked up a log and bashed him in the head and killed him. >> so aaron earl curry was being held in jail awaiting the trial for the murder of your brother, alan platte and now what's happened? >> due to budget cuts, the -- the county has been forced to close beds in the jail. so there was three that were accused of crimes that were released into the public with ankle bracelets as monitors to await trial. >> so even though he's charged with killing somebody, he's now out of jail awaiting trial because there's not enough money to keep him there? >> that's correct. >> what does your family feel

. >> one of the things we found at the "wall street journal", by the way, alisyn, is you remember the president's promise that when he was elected, no one who makes under $200,000 a year would pay a dime more of taxes. well, guess what? we found that about 3/4 of these, whatever you want to call them now, taxes, fines, penalties, about 3/4 of those costs will fall on the backs of families that make less than $120,000 a year. it's a big punch in the stomach to middle-class families. >> that has a lot of governors saying to themselves, do we really want to do this? part of making ends meet and giving everybody 100% medical care is having the states expand medicaid to include more people. for the first few years, the federal government will be handing the state some money and saying pay out all these people and then the money will go away and that's not alluded governor rick scott and not alluded governor walker or governor bobby jindal who have said we're going to listen to the court and not going to expand medicaid because in that decision, when everybody was focused on obamacare live
