alix: true.uess that's where the fundamentals meet the action of the treasury market because if it is a significant growth scare , if the theory of stagflation continues to permeate, that would affect the kind of returns you get. jim: no question at all. we are seeing the market quite volatile on the view of inflation because only a few weeks ago, we were pricing in the expectation that this real concern over the short term jump in inflation numbers, of which we have been a little more sanguine on. but we do buy more structural inflation. i think we see more cost in the system, particularly with greater resilience to supply chains, with this sort of bipolar world, china and the united states driving cost into supply chains. with monetary policy in particular, the fed and others are kind of easing the constraint on inflation as a driver of policy. and frankly, the continued fiscal intervention. certainly i wouldn't be getting overly excited on the back of the delta variant. i think we know the way
