the people, from what you hear from the media all around the country, what the tower to be a heritage museum. simple as that. of all the things rec and park does so well, i believe that fine art is be on your stove. for example, i applaud his work. the idea of young kids this week. what about somebody who lived through the great depression? i read this thing called coit forum. out of all the people, 100% of the people thought that the art collection was poorly managed. they supported the idea of museum status. museum status, unfortunately, would take control away from you. it would make it a museum. coit is art-driven. those fresoces are majorly significant to what it means to be an american. having a restaurateur or a hot dog guide, those things are unnecessary, unwanted, and long, let alone tacky. that is objective. we will not go there. i stood out there in front of the tower for an entire day of my life and interviewed everybody from all over the world. locals, natives, voters, everybody. they all thank you for giving them a free tour. the message in this art work is very hidden.

around, the coit tower and transamerica building. it does not get much better than that. we are really excited and we thank you for your effort. when this project is complete, where all of you are standing will be a 2.5 acre park. it has been planned for over 20 years, so it is very gratifying to be able to move forward on the long-awaited project. thanks to the influence of our partners at the america's cup, at the end of the pier is another new plaza where you will have about 270 degree views, your first use of the ac-72's as they start and finish here. cruise terminals are an interesting facility in that they are designed to be vacant as much as they are designed to be fully impacted. one day it is overflowing and the next day there is nobody here. with the help of our blue ribbon committee and partners at san francisco travel, we also designed this area to accommodate the events. we are very proud that our first event here at the pier 27 cruise terminal will be christened by the 34th america's cup as part of the america's cup village. i just want to say thank you again to stephen barkley, larry ellison, for your vision and dedication and partnership for a lot of

around here, all of them without power right now. and you know, part of this deals with the infrastructure as well. power company official in northern west virginia told us that three transmission towersis metal powers that transmit power lines in rural areas, three of those came down. we have a picture of one of those mangled towers. those have been replaced by temporary towers so the lines are back up. but huge infrastructure challenges. i talked to a local resident, his name is casey robinson, about what people are going through in dealing with and some of the things they take for granted that they don't have now. >> what kind of problems have the power outages caused for your neighborhood and others here? >> things you never thought of actually, other than the obvious, that is throwing a way a lot of food. we're also finding out the conveniences you took so much for granted are gone. a lot of folks in the neighborhoods have been nervous about potential looting and don't have any power to run their security systems. >> reporter: so not only heat, powerht outages, people trying stay cool but they have to worry about security systems and keeping an eye on their homes. maybe if they'
