jonathen allen and amie parnes have it all. i don't know how many of you knows this but "hrc: state secrets and the rebirth of hillary clinton" hit the best-seller list, number 6 spot for nonfiction. [applause] >> big hand for that. the book is absolutely terrific. just a few words on jonathen allen and then we will talk about amie parnes. many of you know bloomberg news hired john a couple weeks before the book came out. it was my fastest and perhaps my smartest tire ever. not many reporters you hired immediately went on the best-seller list. it was easy to fall in love with jonathen allen. he is warm and funny, i asked him why he decided to write a book about hillary. he told me his mother who is here somewhere, when he was growing up in the 70s won eight $0.59 pin. no one remember whose idea that was but it stood for women, pay, inequality, the fact the they were earning $0.59 of every dollar a man turned. that sold me on jonathen allen. his boss, greg gordon, wrote this part. in all fairness john has a slightly slow start.
