kpix 5's allen martin is live in the newsroom with the latest. allen. >> reporter: michelle, the incident which happened in march involved a group of dirt bikers who surrounded and beat up that driver on highway 101. chp conducted a series of raids at four homes in san francisco early wednesday morning. they arrested three men. 33-year-old johnson, 25-year- old rodriguez, and 19-year-old williams. you can see officers also removing dirt bikes from the homes. police say the suspects attacked him and left him with serious injuries. cell phone video captured it. the driver of the white car had a brush with the bikers and as he pulled over he was boxed in by the group and beaten severely. >> what was obviously very helpful were the videos that were taken bypassing motorists that were given to us. we reviewed those. we then talked, we went back then and talked to some of the officers involved, who previously seen some of these parties and were able to make positive identifications. insan orter: the three suspectsh cisco be hecounty jail, g they do face

allen martin is here with the next move. >> reporter: ken, gop senators acknowledged there was no way to pass the bill as is. so now they are back at work to find a compromise and the president is optimistic. senate majority leader mitch mcconnell is negotiating behind closed doors trying to gain support for his party's healthcare bill. >> we know that we cannot afford to delay on this issue. >> reporter: but a delay is exactly what mcconnell called for when he postponed a vote on the gop plan to repeal and replace obamacare. a dozen republican senators are opposed to the bill in its current form. republican senators are working on revising the bill for the rest of the week so they can review the new version during the july 4 recess. they will come back to capitol hill the following week. that's the earliest a vote could happen. after calling an emergency meeting yesterday, president trump acknowledged reaching a consensus could be tough. this morning, he seemed more confident. >> we have a plan that if we get it approved, it's very tough, every state is different -- >> reporter: demo

allen martin has the details. >> reporter: a navy destroying the u.s.s. fitzgerald collided with the vessel early saturday morning japan time. 7 u.s. sailors are unaccounted for and others injured. video shows that injured sailor being put on a stretcher and then loaded on the japanese coast guard chopper. u.s. defense officials say there is flooding in three compartments of the fitzgerald. there's heavy damage visibility on the right side of the ship which is now stationary in the water. the other craft is a merchant vessel called the acx crystal flying the flag of the philippines. the accident happened about 50 miles southwest of the japanese city of yokosuka home to u.s. navy base. >> thank you. >>> investigators and colleagues of the u.p.s. shooter are struggling to find a reason why he shot and killed three coworkers before killing himself. suspected shooter jimmy lam had filed a grievance earlier this year about excessive overtile and police say he was also dealing with some personal issues including a custody battle with his ex-girlfriend and court
