base andrews confirmed a chopper landed before 10 this morning along branch avenue just north of allen town road in suitland, >> reporter: well, andrea, the good news is that everyone that was on board this helicopter is going to be okay. that helicopter, in fact, right behind us. you can actually see the pilot, major john mulhaney who is talking casually with mechanics. the helicopter was making its way from joint base andrews to the air space at dca when they got a master warning light informing them that they needed to land their aircraft immediately. they were able to find an open field here behind strayer university. that warning indicated there was a significant drop in oil pressure. all three on board told they're going to be okay. everyone just kind of talking casually trying to figure out what exactly might be the underlying issues that may have contributed to this. they train for this all the time, so when they have these emergency warnings come up on their consoles they know exactly what to do. the information we're in aircraft, this helicopter is going to be removed from this ar
