we have live team coverage for you on this and we begin with 7 nuts reporter allen wong with the very latest. it was incredible as it burned at its worst. >> huge spectacle you can see it from all over the bay but tonight it looks like they have control of this fire. the firefighters took defensive strategy from the get go. they got here around 5:00 o'clock this evening and couldn't really see where the smoke water coming from and then suddenly it just ignited that a ball of fire and smoke that could be seen from all around the bay. the plan was to put every available hose on this fire and just soak it down. that meant calling the water department and averting more pressure to the hydrant out here. 150 firefighters were called out to ballots this thing. that's almost half the entire san francisco fire department. the building is an apartment under construction. this is a new residential area with few people living down here but there were some people directly across the street living there and one woman told us she walked that the lobby of her place looked behind her and realize there
