allie rasmus is live for us with one father's public plea. >> the father and the victim's brother and sister will be out here at at&t park. they claim to have a press conference in front of the willie mays statue. could be as early as 10:00 a.m. possibility later than that. they are here to ask the family for help. they believe there are giant's fans out there that may have cellphone pictures that ended jonathan denver's life. he is a dodger fan and was in town last week. and police say there was an altercation after the game outside the ballpark between denver, his friends and some giant's fans. he was stabbed to death. six blocks away from the at&t park. the man suspected of killing denver is michael montgomery. he is now back at home in lodi. prosecutors say they didn't have enough evidence to charge him with the crime. montgomery's mother said he is relieved and he is still really messed up about what happened. what he did. what he saw. how could you get that out of your head. montgomery's mother believes her son acted in self-defense. denver's family do not think that is the case

ktvu's allie rasmus joins us live from san francisco, with a nice little crowd out there. >> reporter square park, two hours into the walk, and most of the people are making their way down columbus street. most of the participants have now made their way to this station and they are being greeted by some of the volunteer cheerleaders out here. you can see them waving their flags, encouraging people along the way. once people reach this point, they come out here to take a break, take a breather, take pictures, get some water, get a few snacks, then they continue their way down the route. now, 2000 people have signed up for the avon walk for breast cancer here in the bay area, and they have been, so far, they have raised $4 million this weekend. fund-raising efforts, that money, according to organizers will go towards breast cancer research and resources for people in need. >> the majority of the money that is raised here this weekend will stay in the bay area, which is really nice for people to know the money they worked so hard to raise is having an effect in their own community. >> r
