joe allison/veteran: it saved my life. allison brings his therapy dog to each session here. he's only been at it since september. he's been on 30 mile plus rides since then but he's noticed something more. allison: i was on a lot of medications and i'd been on them for 10 years. and this has helped out 100%. it is incredible. once the bikes are set up, the rider's weight is placed in a computer. once the stationary riding starts, they can see how much energy they are using, how fast they are going and place. the one hour session two to three times a week, gets the riders in shape for ride to recovery events where they will cover up to five hundred miles. tina lemus covered more than four hundred miles last year, she says she felt a great sense of accomplishment. but there is more to this training. tina lemus/veteran: i feel it is so imporatnt to do something physical, something active, something that is around other veterans. the camaraderie, is uplifting. april wolfe is the manager of project hero with the city of reno, its the local chapter of ride 2 recovery. she says rig
