i'm allison kropff. and i'm ian reitz. we want to start with an update to a story we've been on top of since overnight monday. this morning...a 36-year-old tampa woman will be in court this afternoon...after a deadly hit-and-run on the howard frankland bridge. 10 news reporter is live at the pinellas county jail. emerald , this isn't the first time allison law. not at all. we pulled huffman's arrest record...and as you can see, it's pretty lengthy. she's been in and out of jail quite a bit...three times for her driving record. huffman has been arrested three times in hillsborough county for drinking and driving. but even with all those arrests, she still has a valid driver's license. unfortunately, that's the case for a lot of people in florida who've gotten multiple duis. 10 investigates reported last year that there are more than 113 thousand people on the road right now who have three duis on their record. and that has a lot of people upset. this time, though...chances are she won't get off as easily. she's facing felon

i'm allison kropff. and i'm ian reitz. it's official. president obama will be the first president to visit cuba in 90 years. the president is expected to announce today he could make the trip in the next several weeks. 10news reporter sarah hollenbeck is sarah, this trip will be pretty significant? as you know, president obama broke the diplomatic freeze between us and the communist island that had been maintained by 10 u.s. presidents. that move opened up travel between places like tampa to cuba and paved the way for folks here to hop on a flight to cuba. so, its no surprise a white house official has confirmed president obama is jumping on the opportunity to go. two months ago in an interview, president obama said he was interested in visiting cuba before the end of his term, but that the "conditions have to be right." he wanted to see change in the lives, liberties and economic possibilities of cubans. and while a lot of improvements have been made, political persecution is still a huge problem on the island and a lot of leaders here

i'm allison kropff. lets get a look at developing this morning, out of manatee county, a deputy shoots and kills a man who he says charged at him with a knife. the sheriff says it all started when deputies responded to a fight at a home on boo-kelia circle in bradenton. a woman called 9- 1-1 to say her husband -- 50 year old marc stoddart -- had been drinking and threatening to hurt them both with a knife. the sheriff says when deputies got there the man had cut his wrists and was standing outside holding the knife. the deputies reportedly told the man to drop it -- but they say he charged forward and was shot and killed. the deputy who fired his weapon is on leave while the shooting is under investigation. developing out of st. petersburg, a 4 year off a shot! thankfully, no one was hurt. police say the boy had been playing outside a home on yale street south when he chased a cat under the house. hidden in a crawl space -- the boy found a revolver. he took it onto the porch and fired one round into the
