. >> i'm allison payne. we welcome our viewers who are watching us around the country on wgn america. wgn's muriel clair is live in joliet with more on the developing story. >> reporter: the two state manhunt ongoing since tuesday ended this morning with the arrest of 37-year-old brian dorian. acting on a tip, police armed with a search warrant took 37- year-old dorian into custody at a house in lynnwood where he was staying. dorian is wanted in a fatal shooting of alonso near beecher, illinois. he is suspected of wounding a 19-year-old man in the same area and shooting a farmers near lowell, indiana. investigators say that before shooting his victims, the gunman asked one of them about honey bees and another about construction materials. we have learned that brian dorian is a lynnwood police officer. he is on leave. a news conference is expected to take place later this afternoon and at that time we will learn more about it and learn more about the motive and about his state of being. i'm live in joliet, mu

. >> and i'm allison payne. we welcome our viewers who are watching us around the country on wgn america. so far halfway through the rescue operation has gone without a hitch. but still a long way to go. omar regatta is the 17th and latest miner to be lifted out of the shaft. he and his 32 fellow miners have been stuck more than 2,000 feet underground since august 5. that's when 140 million tons of rock collapsed around them. they survived 17 days before people even knew they were still alive. rescuers thought they wouldn't be able to get them out until december. but the delicate drilling process went more quickly than expected. the miners are being pulled up in a capsule through a shaft not much wider than a manhole cover. the first miner emerged just after midnight chile time and they have been coming out every 40 minutes. so far they all appear to be in good physical health and no one has required any special medical treatment. no one has survived trapped underground longer than these 33 miners. >>> people in

. >> i'm allison payne. >>> wgn's nancy loo is live in crown point, indiana where authorities have just wrapped up a news conference. >> reporter: well, allison and steve, hundreds of tips have been called in since tuesday's deadly shooting spree but none have panned out so a short time ago authorities released a new sketch of the killer they are looking for. the revised sketch is based on information from witnesses and one of the victims, the lake and will county sheriffs are earn urging anyone with information to contact them immediately. authorities believe he is a man in his 40s driving a light colored chevy cheyenne pick up truck with indiana plates which was last seen on tuesday in lowell soon after the shootings of three men in illinois and indiana. one victim was killed. two others hospitalized. police are hoping someone will be able to identify the killer. and we heard from will county sheriff roy dominguez urging people to hopefully be able to recognize that suspect from the sketch. and so they will know who they are looking for at least. bailed on evidence from the two shooti
