announcer: you're watching live, local, breaking news with geoff hart, allyson powell, and weather with meteorologist dale gilbert. this is wyff news 4 today in high definition. geoff: 12 minutes after 6:00 on this monday morning. in north carolina, a gastonia man, who police say shot his wife and killed his neighbor, will be in court. joseph zinna faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder. police say the 48-year-old went to his neighbor's home on new year's day and shot him more than once with a 12-gauge shotgun. investigators say zinna also shot his wife while she was in a moving vehicle. near raleigh, take a look at this video. police say a man lost control of his car, went airborne, and crashed into a house. investigators say the man was trapped in the car and was rescued. the house is vacant, so no one else was hurt. police say the man's speed may have caused the crash. allyson: in fayetteville, a pastor says he protected his congregation from a man who walked into the church with a rifle. pastor larry wright is also a member of the city council there. he says he wa
