two separate crashes along 80. can see those lanes closed only one lane open at this time for drivers to make their way through that stretch. it's backed up for miles. it starts just past willow and continues to be very slow until you get to the carquinez bridge. you do not want to be stuck in this mess. it's about a 3 1/2-mile span between highway 4 and the carquinez bridge. and right now, it's taking at least 20 minutes just to get to that point. so definitely give yourself some extra time. if you are going to tahoe or sacramento, avoid 80. take 680, benicia bridge, looking just fine. cut back over on 780 or continue to 80. that's your best bet but give yourself some extra time regardless. it's going to be a very busy day out on the roads. today expected to be one of the busiest, the worst times to leave about 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. because you're dealing with commuters and holiday traffic. this is video of a problem on 880 near hegenberger. another truck caught fire and that caused all lanes to be closed along n
