we had a pretty big problem on the altamont pass but not the case today.the usual slowing out of tracy westbound and extend to just beyond north flynn. we are dealing with are brake lights along southbound 880 nimitz freeway. there's a crash still clearing in the two left lanes. this is near the fremont boulevard exit. slow and go conditions and you are backed up to 92 at this point. so it's been a bit of a struggle. they never issued an official traffic alert but definitely traffic is slow as you head through there. stick with surface streets adds the alternate route and a bit of backup here along the dunbarton bridge westbound going to the peninsula. so little slow as you head mid span on the dunbarton bridge this morning. and taking a look at traffic elsewhere. a number of closures still in effect due to the wildfires. parts of 128 still remain closed for example, between ra line. 121-2010 circle oats and 128. also in effect. and closures continue along highway 1 along the compost and the san mateo county area, still pretty much from the pescadero porti

especially for the ride into the altamont pass.ng a 32 minute drive time from 205 over toward 680. brake lights have started in tracy around mountain house and beyond the as i look at centers. and stay slow at least until northland. what's your past that you should be smooth sailing as you work your way toward 680 from at least livermore valley area toward the dublin interchange. on highway 12, we got in trouble spot westbound at walters road. this is due to an overturned big red. no injuries, that is good news. most activity on the right side as far as the axing goes but that there is a lot of concrete on the roadway and re-as well so you will have that but directions. a lot of damage to the center divide. caltrans is headed out there and we see some slight red, it is cn the area but keep that in mind if you plan to take highway 12 at all this morning. i want to take you to the south in the south bay to another super commuter route out of gilroy. there was an earlier trouble north1 and 25. ngbut we have a lane blocked there. appar

the altamont pass slow as well as is the bay bridge.etering lights are on and you are backed up just beyond the 880 overpass. once you are past that point though, traffic actually moving pretty nicely across the upper deck. so past the incline and about an easy eight to nine minutes getting into the city from that point. look at the drive times on the 580 commute. 27 minutes now from 205 over to 680. the delays have kind of shifted and getting better just slow from 205 at least to north flynn. no delays connecting on to 680. still working the accident. this is highway 4 marsh creek road eastbound at hoffman lane. possible injuries so you might see some closures in and around that intersection. and a quick live look at the golden gate bridge. that's where wear really seeing the fog this morning. so limited visibility on parts of 101 and on the golden gate bridge. spare the air alert in effect and a live look at the smoky skies, here's mary. >>> that's right gianna. so looking at that air quality. and unfortunately, it does look worse com

but again, there's still some brake lights that's the altamont pass commute.o if you typically take 580 you know what to expect. it is slow and go coming out of tracy getting on to 580. extends to just about grant line so not as far back as mountain house. that's good news. but just a little slow through there. 30 minutes almost for your drive time to go westbound 205 over to 680. the good news on the eastshore freeway this morning, highway -- 80 over towards highway 4 to the maze, only 14 minutes right now. and there's no really major delays as you work towards the bay bridge toll plaza. traffic is pretty light so far. no metering lights just yet. so at the limit as you work your way out of the east bay into the city. taking a look at conditions across the san mateo bridge, we are certainly starting to see a few more cars on the roadway. but traffic still moving at a nice pace across the span westbound as you work over to 101. and the golden gate bridge, looks pretty good as well. with no major delays right now. southbound 101 out of marin into san francisco,

a truck fire near the altamont pass. we'll let you know what i find out from chp on the break. >>> we continue to monitor all the bay area fires. here's the latest this hour. the lnu complex in the north bay has burned more than 356,000 acres. it is 27% contained. five people have died and nearly 1,000 structures destroyed. in the east and south bay the scu fire the biggest in acres. 366,000 acres, 20% contained. 18 structures -- or three first responders have been hurt and 18 structures destroyed. in the meantime in santa cruz counties the czu fire burning through the woods at a frightening pace. it has burned nearly 80,000 acres and is 19% contained. one person has died and 43 structures damaged. i know that's a lot of numbers to throw at you there, but basically they're getting a little bit of coverage. sadly there's deaths as well. >> absolutely. and, of course, the temperatures we had out there, they have been a factor. kari, we're seeing them cool down a bit which is a little reloaf for those firefighters out there
