in the interim, the school system has named alvin crawley from the d.c. public school system tyke over as the interim superintendent. he has been in education for 32 years. now on the road, parents who are driving their kids to school and also motorists around the schools do want to be aware that speed cameras which had been turned off during the summer will be reactivated. and speaking of transportation, there will also be some transportation and schedule changes for the students as well. middle schools will e adding 40 minutes on to their instructional day. some will see that in the beginning, some in the end. part of it is to see those who are you go having to make grades a little more time to for instructional time. that will allow them to match up a little bit better with the schedule for the high schools and they the transportation department will now allow some bus sharing between middle schools and high schools and they say that will help them save at least five million dollars in transportation kses, hopefully money that they can put right back i
