as abc 7 news reporter alyssa harrington found out today, bay area experts say they're finding signs of a slowdown. >> reporter: on the housing roller coaster, home sales in the bay area are up from last month, but down from last year. a report found the slowdown in alameda county from over 1,300 homes sold in march of 2015 to about 1,200 in march of 2016. numbers are also down in san francisco county. where sky-high prices are pushing buyers out. there's an increase in contra costa county. i asked assistant professor at uc berkeley if this is any indication a housing bubble is about to burst. >> every time there's a flatting like this, or any kind of soft ing in the market, people think this is the beginning of the end. it's hard to know that. it doesn't seem like that at this point. >> reporter: eileen erickson said this is not unusual. >> coming off january, february, march. they tend to go down a little bit. they come up in the spring. around august, september, they'll start to go down again. it's cyclical. >> reporter: the study also finds 1.4% growth in median home prices, the
