alyssa gourd, "today in the bay." >>> too another followup. we are hearing from police in contra costa county now that a tense standoff is over. it all started thursday night when a former police officer and marine barricaded himself inside a home. the 40-year-old man shot his wife when she tried to get inside the home. she is expected to be okay. a team of authorities chonlted, including the s.w.a.t. team, but six hours later friday morning, the s.w.a.t. team left. undercover officers continued to monitor the home and social media. once again on friday night, police say they felt he became a threat to the public. again, the s.w.a.t. team returned, blocking off the neighborhood for a second night. he finally surrendered yesterday morning. neighbors are glad their street are safe again, but still left shaken about the decisions police made. >> i was really alarmed he had been left in the house, and we saw no police presence, or at least none that we could tell were police. >> we did not believe he presented an immediate threat to community. i d
