ktvu is amanda amanda quintana is there with the new video just released tonight, amanda. well, there is some good news tonight. that boy was released from the hospital this afternoon. i'm told he's home with family and doing okay . he was hit as he was crossing the street here on the way to this karate studio. surveillance video from across the street is blurry, but chp says they can still see the moment a white suv turns off of castro valley boulevard onto nunes avenue and immediately hits a little boy in the street. he was left in the street injured, um and the driver didn't seem to care to stop and check on his welfare. daniel jackal, wits with chp says that boy was heading to a karate studio with his mom and brother, he says as parents outside rushed to help him. the car slightly breaks before taking king off again. the driver may been aware that they struck something. um they either felt something hit their car and they had that kind of like, oh, boy. curious moment. parents at the karate studio couldn't believe someone would hit a child and keep driving. can't imagi

amanda, you said the christian nationalism was a political ideology, not a religious. it didn't. you've talked about here. but christian nationalism is distinguished from everyday political conservatism. why has this kind of nationalist ideology been attached to christianity in the us? in particular, there's always been this disconnect about who we say we are and who we really are. and so who we say we are as a country, as the country that embraces religious freedom for all its right there in our founding documents, no religious test and that their will are government will remain secular so that religion can flourish. but christian nationalism which privileges christianity and says, there is a special place for christians and american society has been running alongside these ideals all the way. and so i think it's just been there for people to seize upon and try to organize around. and there is cultural lint, legitimacy still to being a christian. there is a special place, it seems in different in elective office. all of our presidents, for instance, have all professed christiani

hari kron, 4 news. >> amanda, thank you. developing news tonight, 15 people are displaced after a 2 alarm fire in the city's bayview district san francisco. fire says the flames broke out around 6.30 this evening and spread to 3 homes in this area. 2 of those homes suffered major damage. no injuries were reported. fire officials say the red cross is on the way to help the residents affected. no word yet on what caused that fire. >> another deadly traffic accident is under investigation in san jose. police say a man riding a bicycle was hit and killed during a hit and run this app in the area of center and story roads around 12, 40 this morning. police say the man was riding a bike and was struck by 2 cars. one of those cars took off from the scene. the second driver remained and is cooperating with the investigation so far this year in san jose. 54 people have been killed in deadly traffic accidents. >> to the east bay where antioch police are investigating after a teen was shot and killed overnight. police say they found th

all right, amanda, thank you. also in the east bank, pleasant police say they're seeing an uptick in residential burglaries. >> at least 35 happened in the city so far this year. police say in most cases the burglars have been entering through the back of people's homes and then they steal jewelry and purses. officials are advising residents to lock your doors and be vigilant in petaluma. police have arrested 3 people in connection to a string of burglaries at sporting good stores across the north bay. the trio are accused of stealing from dixon's santa rosa, roseville and petaluma in the most recent case, police say the 2 men and a woman still a number of football jerseys worth more than $1500. all 3 were arrested this morning during a traffic stop. more than $10,000 in merchandise was recovered. >> also in petaluma woman was arrested on suspicion of dui after crashing into a business last night. according to petaluma police, the woman was attempting to reverse when she backed her vehicle all the way into the ado
