resident amanda dudley. >> it's terrible. my house is freezing. had to go buy electric heaters.s terrible. >> reporter: natural gas is highly volatile and the process of repairing lines is delicate. >> damage results. as a result, the gas main has gotten to it. you can't have water in a gas main. >> reporter: about 100 residents have lost water service. but it has since been restored. but before the utility can repair the gas line. >> that's a labor-intensive process. we've got people going door to door throughout this community so that we can get access. >> reporter: so far, they've reached a little less than 600 homes. they're working on finishing the rest and hope to have repairs done today. but it will still take time. >> once they've completed repairs, we'll go in and reintroduce gas at each and every building. and relay each appliance at each of the buildings. >> reporter: once again, bge is hoping to start turning on services tomorrow. but they have to go building by building so that could take sometime. reporting live from baltimore, wjz eyewitness news. >> once the gas
