we know, amara, that prosecutors have a vast amount of discretion.nd, of course, she can exercise her discretion to charge more people, they did not. so, i think the first issue is prosecutorial discretion. the second issue, amara, there's a distinction between what a grand jury does and what a regular jury does. at the end of the day, the prosecutor charges those that you believe you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt committed a crime. apparently, a decision was made, as it related to some, she could not. the other issue, beyond that, what you can do, in terms of others who might be involved who you can get cooperation from. so, i think, instead of really indicting, going forward, they made a decision as to who the core actors were, who we can use to prove our case who were not indicted. and i think based upon that discretion, she moved forward on the 19 that she did, as opposed to the 37 or so who were named in the special report and there were recommendations as those to be indicted. >> she's getting cooperation from these fake electors, joey ja

omar, amara?, there is a lot to talk about here when it comes to donald trump and the amount of cases. i want to start in georgia though in particular there. i want your reaction to trump wanting to separate his case from others. is this typical? what is the significance here? >> well, it makes sense he wants to server the case. he doesn't necessarily want to be with all of these lesser people just as the lesser people don't want to be with him. the last thing he wants to see happen is during the course of the trial, these other people who are lower on that proverbial food chain saying i was listening to trump, he was sitting right there, his advisers, his attorneys were telling me what to do. it's to his advantage to be separate and apart from some of these individuals because they all collective literature will look worse together than separate and apart. >> it's not just trump. we've seen other departments try to separate their cases from each other. the thing that jumps out to me, is that poss

i'm amara walker. >> and i'm victor black well. so good to be with you. tropical storm warnings are in effect this morning as lee is downgraded from a hurricane to a post tropical cyclone. new england starting to feel the impact of the massive storm. boston logan is experiencing a spike in flight cancellations. so far, 25% of flights leaving boston have been cancelled. that's according to flight awe ware. lee is not expected to make landfall, but coastal cities can can expect powerful 50 to 60 mile per hour winds from outer bands of the massive storm. heavy rain and storm surge could cause flooding along the n nebraska coast. >> authorities are telling people to prepare to hunker down as the storm pushes north through the day. lee is also expected to cause dangerous rip currents along the atlantic coast with many states warning people to stay out of the ocean this weekend because of those dangerous surf conditions. we are cover canning all parts of the storm with derek van dam and allison chinchar. derek, let's start with you. how are the conditions to so

. >> amara, carl. what do you think we can we have a little acceleration an activity and still keep inflation in check? >> my sense is that this is going to be a longer-term thing that needs to grind its way out and that, believer that the fed is done and we won't get a november bump in that we will see a slowing economy over the next 6 to 12 months and that we don't have a fed that's thinking about easing until the second half of next year. >> second half and that would just be because inflation has continued to moderate? >> it seems like, yes. we will continue to get to moderate and we can get a lot of progress, even if inflation stays near 3% and then the fed will have a chance to pivot then i think about its dual mandate and not its singular mandate. >> you are not worried that inflation is going to linger and be sticky? >> my stats dash stick year, i think it will be bouncy but i think that overall trend is still declining. i think that 5% interest rates are going to have a fight on the economy an
