amd, alphabet. start with the bad. amd once again disappointing the market in terms of the pace of growth for revenue coming from particularly the focus on data centers and ai. at the moment we are seeing it not ratcheting up at the pace the market had anticipated. remember, the end of 2023 amd was saying it was going to get about $2 billion from its ai focus and now says it was going to be $5 billion, but that was not enough to satiate the market. we are down almost 10%, with that forecast being a disappointment for revenue, even though they meet on the fiscal quarter they reported. alphabet up 5%. we surged on the back of ai paying off for alphabet. they might not be buying their chips from amd at the moment, but they are investing. they are raising their capex -- capital expenditure. below buying into the cloud offering. it 35% growth in car. let's see what sundar pichai was pleased about. take a listen. >> i am very pleased with our growth. this business has real momentum and the opportunity is increasing as custom
