storm team4 meteorologist amelia segal is in for tom kierein and joins us with her first forecast for midday. good morning. >> good morning, barbara. it certainly was a breezy morning. the good news, the winds will continue to die down for the rest of the day. we're really not looking at the breezy conditions at all. and filtered sunshine. right now, we're at 35 degrees, the high temperature today of 37. we'll hit that around 2:00 this afternoon. partly to mostly cloudy skies for the remainder of the day, and the good news, temperatures above freezing today. so any ice you're still seeing in your area will continue to melt. now, as our focus turns to the weekend, we're talking about one storm system that will move through saturday afternoon. this is going to bring some snow showers saturday afternoon on into the evening hours, and then, as we move from saturday night into sunday, this storm system will make its way through the area. coming up, barbara, in ten minutes, i'll be talking about accumulation. again, we're looking at two storm systems this weekend. right now, accumulation am

amelia segal is tracking the rain and the end to the amazing temperatures we've had, right, amelia? >> yes. unfortunately, erica, as we head back to work, much colder air. temperatures in west virginia already in the low 30s, and that's making its way into our area overnight. the rain bringing in this colder air, mainly now to the north and west of washington. rain arrives in washington around midnight, 1:00 a.m., everybody is dry by 4:00 a.m. along 270 and 70 right now seeing this rain, but again, it's gone by 4:00 a.m. so that morning commute will be okay. temperatures now are in the 40s. tomorrow morning we're in the 30s. i'll have more on this cold weather, and if there is any snow in the forecast for the workweek coming up in about ten minutes, erica. >> thanks, amelia. >>> the man behind a notorious crime has been shot and killed inside an israelly prison. he was serving time for murdering and dismembering a teenager back in 1997. he fled the u.s. but was caught and prosecuted in israel. the case sparked an international extradition battle, but police say he stole a weapon, sh
