we sent storm team 4 meteorologist amelia segal outside in the cold during the morning record-breaking cold. she did a little demonstration showing us how long it takes for things to freeze. it was even cold enough to make ice cream. >> i was craving that watching her this morning. >> weren't you? >> when ifls out there a few minutes ago, veronica you were telling me it's about 25 degrees warmer in terms of windchill than when she was out there. >> exactly. it was way low this morning. we get ready for the next system warming temperatures allowing us to transition from snow to rain but not all good because that rain i think will wash a lot of chemicals off the road so that as we get into the second half of the weekend it may cause some issues. but for a period of time during the storm, i do think that roads could become treacherous, especially after 2:00 on saturday. the snow that starts out it will be accumulating very quickly, an inch per hour. then we'll see the freezing rain, the sleet start to mix in with the storm and that means icy conditions by evening. so snow to ice, we're ta
