we sauw a lot of apger on the streets of amman late last night. it was late in the evening, and we can expect to see more today, but so far this does seem to be a united country, at least directing the anger towards isis. today, we could possibly be seeing the demonstrations taking place, and also, there is a call for unified prayer to take place at noon at all mosques across jordan so at least for now, there is one enemy for the jordanians it seems and it is isis and people are just shock and really enraged by what they have seen so far. >> and thank you, jomana, and when we look at the situation inside of jordan you are mention ing mentioning a lot of isis supporters. what about the possibility of the sleeper cells, and what are the possibilities of the jordanians of domestic attacks being carried out by isis cell ss? >> jor adan is known to have one of the very intense intelligence networks, and that i have foiled many terror attacks since the deadly hotel bombings, the suicide bombings that were claimed by al qaeda and iraq carried out novembe

let's go to our correspondent jim muir live in amman for us. can you tell us something about the rally and what's being said in the mosques today, it's friday prayers? >> that's right. yes, down here in the center of amman, there's been a lot of passion, a lot of anger being expressed on the streets here after friday prayers, around the side there, thousands of people came pouring out of the street here wheres there's been rallies in the square just behind me here. it's starting to disperse but it was quite intense. many thousands of people taking part. all with the same message that basically jordan has to concentrate, has to unify against these what they call monsters or animals of the islamic state. among the crowd queen ranya, the sovereign's wife who had come down among the people. she said today i'm just an ordinary jordanian and we all have to rally around what will be a long-term struggle to regain our religion as she put it because they believe it's been hijacked by i.s. claiming to be the pure islamists and so on a struggle which will

let's get more now we're live from amman. king abdullah vowing what he calls a severe response to this murder of the jordanian pilot. how is that likely to play out in the coming days? >> well, we will see as people are anxious to know what he means. he made it clear that jordan will go after isil in their own territory. he said we will hit them in their own ground. these are the words of jordanian state television quoted king abdullah saying. this is a major signal that jordan is defiant and will escalate its role against isis, and it's not going to back off. for the jordanians, today most of the focus and the debate and anger has been how will the government respond and punish isis for this killing. a few weeks ago most of the debate and pressure was on the jordanned government and the king to do whatever possible to spare lives and save moaz p al kassasbeh's life. this has helped to mobilize more public support against isis, and gives them more strength in order to go after isis even more forcefully. >> and we know that jo
