here's another device from the ampex collection. . this is the vx 1000. what you are looking at is a vcr from 1955 and 1956. that gives you an idea of how much miniaturize asian has occurred. what happened after ashman tries -- and crosby started a project that was focusing on recording video. project with a guy named -- ampex started a project with a guy named charlie ginsberg. among other things, two inch tape. things are much larger as they are additionally developing. is the v rx 1000. it is a protist type -- it is a prototype still. it was sold to cbs in los angeles. it was used for the television broadcast and news. these were quickly put into use. mostly around television news. one significant area once -- one significant area sports. a guy who was a well-known producer for sports broadcasting at abc, probably best known for a well-known program at that time worked for ampex where other video technologies like slow motion and stop motion were developed at ampex. this is the beginning of that trick -- of that track up a knology. silicon valley meets
