that includes class ones, the commuter railroads, the amtrak and the shortline railroad. if you're just looking at the class 1 freight railroads and i looked at this myself the other night, confirmed it with f.r.a., if you're just looking at derailments, in 2021 for class one freight railroads. so it's the major railroads. norfolk southern. c.s.x. bnsf. u.p., c.n., c.p. so what we have is 868 derailments in 2021. 68 collisions, 330 that are designated as other. a lot of those are on instructions on rail track. and so, i raise that because, of course -- we can improve safety in the rail industry. and we have a number of our safety recommendations that are on our most wanted list of transportation safety improvements that we've been fighting for decades to get implemented, which would improve remain safety. but, i want to be clear. we have to make sure that what we're proposing as the ntsb is specific to this accident. that's our job. our job is to determine how this happened and to give safety recommendations to prevent this one -- one from happening again. that's why i go
