fox medical team's beth galvin who donated one of her own kidneys last summer joins us live from atlanta to talk more about this. this is fascinating. >> reporter: it is, amy and it is interesting, because of those 100,000 people you mentioned that are waiting ona kidney transplant, half of them, 50% difficult for them to find a match and my donor was one of those people. and, for 40% of the people waiting may never find a match because of the antibody and what they are doing with the process, desensitization and are going in and tweaking the recipient's immune system to make it less likely that he or she will reject a donor kidney from somebody. so it may be really great news for people who waited a long time, and are waiting on a kidney. it is still in the experimental process but seems to be effective. amy. they are talking about 8 years out, a very high number of these folks are still alive. about 75%. so, you know, that is a very good track record for this particular study or these particular patients. >> amy: what about other organs? obviously, the kidney, you know, is great. any other organs that could work >> the biggest potential will be kit with
