amy carey-jones and valerie carey are trying to figure out what happened.iriam carey drove her car into a white house barricade before leading them on a chase to the capitol. she was shot and killed. her one-year-old in the car was not injured. she's said to be okay. sisters of the victim talked to anderson cooper about her initial diagnosis. >> amy, there are sources say in the last year the police have been called by your sister's boyfriend who reported she was acting irrationally or delusionally. is that something you knew about, is that something you were concerned about? >> i'm not going to feed into things that he reported to the press. i just know that my sister did experience postpartum depreparation wi-- depression. she had her challenges with that. and that's what she was being treated for. >> as far as you know, she wasn't bipolar, she wasn't schizophrenic, you believe it was postpartum depression. >> it was postpartum depression with psychosis. she worked closely with her doctor to taper off the medication and just get the counseling she needed

. >> joining me now amy carey joe jones and valerie carey.hat was you in the sound bite asking questions of the police. given what we saw last week with her erratic driving and threatening officers -- at least that's how it was reported -- why do you have questions about the police behavior? >> well, there are many questions that can be raised here. you see vehicles that have massive damage yet my sister's vehicle doesn't have damage. there's questions. any logical person can look at what's being presented and ask the question. >> the reports are that she tried to ram a white house barrier, struck an officer, drove almost 80 miles an hour through red lights, gave chase when officers pulled guns on her, hit a police car, took a u-turn from a security facility and was speed ing toward officers who opened fire on her. given that, amy, do you have questions as well about why the police open ed fire? >> yes, i do. a lot of that footage is showing her actually trying to flee the scene. we don't know from point a to point b exactly all the details t

we're joined by two of miriam carey's sisters, valley carey and amy carey-jones who are looking for answers in the death of their sister and they're joined by their attorney. thank you. >> thank you. >> my condolences on the loss of your sister. it's been a few days i'm sure you've asked yourselves a thousand questions trying to put this into perspective and try and figure out how it could have happened. have you come up with any answers? >> we have not come up with any answers yet because we haven't been disclosed exactly what happened. we still haven't been properly notified and we're just trying to make sense of it. there is an investigation going on but we still have a lot of questions. >> a lot of us have sat and seen footage of news breaking and tragedies occurring but for you to see this footage now of what happened, realizing it was your sister in that car, can you explain what it's like? >> it's horrific. it's horrible to actually get phone calls from reporters as opposed to being notified by police personnel and being asked to turn on your tv to see a car that your sister drives a

joining us are her sisters, valerie carey and amy carey-jones and attorney eric saunders.orning. i can only imagine it is no easier to see that video than to talk about this as it was, today as it was last week. how is the family doing this morning? >> we're holding up as best as possible under the circumstances. it's still surreal and of course until we actually see our sister's body, which we haven't actually seen her yet, the reality, the gravity of it is just going to be that much more impactful when we actually do see her. >> do you have any expectation of when that would happen, when you'll be able to see your sister's body? >> we're not sure. we went to identify her and we have to get through the necessary paperwork and autopsies and things like that, so we're in the process of also making funeral arrangements so we can have the body transported so it's a lot of steps we need to take before we can actually see her. >> that's totally understandable. one thing i know a lot of people that stick with a lot of people after seeing this terrifying ordeal play out is her yo
