. >> amy cho is live at the finish line this time with a look at how cycling is actually inspiring some teenagers in the area. hi amy. >> reporter: hey guys, good morning, that's right, we are at the finish line where the bikers should be showing up in just a few minutes from now. they're wrapping up a 20 mile bike ride through d.c. 6,000 riders out here today. now some of those riders are part of a very special group called gearing up bicycles. now this is a group of local kids who actually built the bicycles they're riding today and they also got scholarships to be here. so we caught up with some of them earlier this morning and asked them what this day means to them. >> thinking about all the supportive gotten over the time and the people. >> it feels really if anything happens, blame it on me. >> reporter: and you can see behind me that some of the bikers have just started arriving now. take a look at that. the first people to cross this finish line, but today is not about racing. it's more about just having fun. and that's why they had a speed limit here today, 18 miles per hour. s
