thank you for coming to andrew jackson's hermitage and is very special edition of history uncorked, pulling the public on politics. my name is amy mclain at my official title is vice president of marketing and communications but if you spend any time here, using running around, doing a lot of different things. thank you all for being here tonight. we are very thrilled to have dr. joshua clinton joining us today. dr. clinton is from vanderbilt university, has a very long list of accolades, but a few things i want to draw your attention to is he is the abby and john winkle read chair and professor of political science. he is the codirector of the vanderbilt poll and center for the study of democratic institutions, a member of the executive committee from the data and science institute at vanderbilt. he's an expert advisor for the center for panel survey sciences at the university of chicago and associate editor of the quarterly journal of political science, a two time emmy nominated senior election analyst for nbc news, and so much more. so we are thrilled we could get somebody who really knows this stuff to come and speak with us
