amy kellogg is streaming live in doha with more now. >> it's understood the terms of the deal are that the taliban five can roam around somewhat freely. they can't leave the country. but they're not supposed to be liaising with those from their home but they issued a statement yesterday saying they fully intend to uphold their part of the deal and they thanked the emir of qatar for brokering the deal. it's been pointed out in interviews with experts on the region today that qatar has a lot at stake here and they don't want to be seen as ineffective. qatar's been building a reputation as a country that makes things happen but is secretive about how it gets the job done. it's taken heat from its neighbors about supporting the muslim brotherhood. it appears unclear at this point just where these five former guantanamo bay prisoners will be settling. some are suggesting they'll be in sort of five-star villas, this is based on speculation of local journalists. there's an undisclosed number of taliban fighters and operatives living here under the auspices of the qatari government. these five
