earlier this evening i spoke with city councilwoman amy murray who plans to be at that meeting and she says replacing the western hills viaduct can't be delayed much longer. amy-----it's something that has to be taken care of in the next ten years and as you know in bridge projects it can take a long time so we need to start the ball rolling right now. we need to look at it and champion this and say where can we get the funding for it, what's the path so that it's moving in the right direction. the bridge was built back in 1932 as part of the union terminal project and now carries more than 70- thousand vehicles a day, but it's been showing visible signs of age. amy----i've been talking now to a lot of folks on the west side and they're very concerned. as people have gone by the bridge even on occassion see concrete coming off. the bridge is maintained by the city, but owned by hamilton county. county engineer ted hubbard told county commissioners this week the cost of replacement will be pricey. ted------the cost though to deliver a project that we've to....it's approaching 280 millio

lake murray boulevard, colonial. that's your weather and traffic together. over to you. john: developing right now in orange county, six people recovering following an overnight gas leak in orlando amy: it started at an apartment building on walden circle at 3:00 this morning. jackie orozco joining us near the scene. jackie, this could have been worse. that's dangerous stuff. reporter: good morning to you. here at the apartment complex behind me in that yellow building. it's clear right now, but those six people were treated right here at the walden palms condominiums. let's look at some video so you can see firefighters and orlando police were here around 2:40 this morning. firefighters say construction workers left a generator on which produced a gas and in turn six people were affected and had the carbon monoxide poisoning. police say family of four from the apartment building drove themselves to the hospital after feeling sick. two more people were taken to the hospital for the same reason. again, six people were treated for the carbon monoxide poisoning. they are expected to be ok. we're staying in touch with the management to find out what the next steps are. reporting live in
