we are an international city. we want to maintain the world class feeling we always have. really want to thank hilton for this additional work that it is doing to maintain that world- class status. so you welcome the chinese visitors for business or tourism, and you give them a good breakfast because at the end of the day, they might want to know about stake or pasta, but the breakfast would be their traditional thing, and they will feel comfortable doing that and come back. that is the main thing. we would visitors not only to experience the first visit. we want them to keep coming back. there's a lot of business to be done that is consistent with what our city is doing with our china-sf program. we're recording chinese businesses. we have over five of the major solar companies in china locating their offices in mission bay already. we have more to come. we're working on their banking business so they can come here and establish banks so that trade can go on, and it will be more comfortable for them. so thank you to hilton. congratulations on hilton huanying, and huanying

we draw our inspiration from being a diversity, a beautiful city to live in, and an international cityit is a place where people come to discuss and nurture new ideas. we are important people, always working to make things better. it is in that spirit that i want to talk about our efforts on central market. i made revitalizing central market a signature economic development initiative, and the keystone is the central market payroll tax exclusion. the payroll tax exclusion incentivizes companies to both invest in midmarket and create jobs. i want to recognize supervisor kim and board president david hitchiu for their work with me. this is part of a broader strategy that includes redesigning the street and sidewalks for the better market street initiative. that is a streetscape overhaul that will result in a more attractive, walkable, and business-friendly corridor. the project is in its planning phase right now, and it will be implemented from the ferry building two octavia boulevard in 2015. and the street is -- when the street is repaid. public safety enhancements along market street.

we're an iconic city for this country. we host international events such as the upcoming america's cup. we had the world series most recently. the all-star game. we had dignitaries and world leaders that come to our city almost on a weekly basis. it is imperative that we are members of the jtpf so we can partake in the exchange and know what is going on in the region around us. at the international airport which is outside the county lines. it is important we are part of it. we continue to monitor our officers and follow dgoa 10. and has been very successful. i would like to mention it was also mentioned a few weeks ago, there was concern the fbi had intended to fully block a portion of our general order 810. i contacted stephanie douglas. she assured me she intends to fully comply with general order 8.10. she said she would never put our officers or signed -- assign cases that would put them into violation of that order. having said that, i hope you have a better understanding as i have learned more about the portland resolution. and how we wo
