[ speaking spanish ] which means talk to your neighbors not the police. it states, we have a policy of asking police to leave for the physical and emotional safety of our customers and ourselves. the oakland police officers association has sent the shop a letter asking to open a dialogue about their policy. i was able to talk to the police officer who was turned away by that coffee shop. he can't talk on camera because he's currently on duty, but he says he was surprised. he did walk away without incident and without any coffee and he says he's looking forward to talking with the owners of that coffee shop
