movies like anchorman, talledega knights, step brothers, campaign and so many more. and through the years his work has gotten a little more serious but as fantastic. remember the big short. mccain managed to take on the extremely complicated devastating financial crisis and turn it into an amazing film based on michael lewis' book but it also hit home in a clear and tangible way. and i've been fortunate to get to know adam over the years. like me he's really passionate about climate change and now he's trying to figure out how to do the same thing he did in the big short and change it and make it into a movie that can communicate the scope of the crisis and how to bring those issues alive and front of mind. it's also the project targeted hin another book. it's a fascinating and fantastic book. i absolutely loved it. it sticks with me every day. and the three of us are going to talk about all that at the special live recording of our podcast coming up monday, october 31st. in l.a. there's still some tickets available believe it or not and you can get them at msnbc.com
