andrea klein thomas spoke with sanders supporters about the latest development. andrea, i imagine they're furious. >> reporter: yeah, they are furious, but they're saying this should have happened a lot earlier. now, tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m., democratic leaders will be here at the convention center. they are going to have to field questions about starting this convention with so much drama. then 30 minutes later, around the corner, bernie sanders delegates will explain what they plan to do next. >> how do you feel that the people fired debbie wasserman schultz? >> reporter: vindication for bernie sanders supporters after debbie wasserman schultz resigns as chairwoman of the democratic national committee. >> i kind of felt like we were pushing against a democratic party that did not want our candidate to succeed. >> reporter: today on "meet the press," sanders echoed his supporters' sentiment. >> we need a democratic party that is open, that's going to bring young people and working people into it, that is going to stand up and take on the big money interests
