. >>> the grammy awards will air right here on wusa9 and morning news anchor andrea roane has more on who is expected to take home some hardware. >> reporter: sunday is the 56th annual grammy awards. who will take home the top honors? i'm joined by usa today entertainment reporter alyssa gardner with some insight on who she thinks will be triumph ant and why. she's covered a lot of these. let's start with record of the year. get lucky, radioactive, royals, locked out of heaven and blurred lines. what do you think is the best chance winning record of the year? >> i actually think it's going to be lord who recorded royal. she's a 17-year-old sort of cinderella darling out of new zealand. she has critical credibility. she also got locked out of the best new artists race which surprised a lot of people, so this reward would be kind of compensation for that and it's also a single in a lot of people love, a huge pop hit, comes with critical credibility which is important for grammy voters sometimes. so it's looking like her i would say. >> i can't even say the name royals without saying it
