i'm andrea roane. >>> d.c. homicide investigators are on the hunt for the suspects who fatally shot a man and a woman right in front of two young children. the double murder happened in the 1600 block of 17th street southeast. police tell 9news 21-year-old irving ingraham and a 21-year- old were fatally shot inside their apartment. the toddlers were unharmed and now are in the custody of child protective services. >> what happened to them is tragic. but the children, you know, that's something that, you know, they'll never know exactly what, why, you know, the scars that they'll have. >> police have not disclosed the relationship between the children and the adult victims or if there were signs of forced entry. investigators are interviewing witnesses about the shooting. >>> medics rushed three people to the hospital with various injuries after fire broke out in this home in the 3100 block of mount pleasant street northwest. this morning's blaze displaced about 30 residents who lived in the apartment building.
