thank you for joining us, i'm andrea roane. let's get right to howard bernstein with your first alert forecast. howard can you predict how much snow? >> reporter: right now looks like a minor event, maybe an inch or so. let me explain, cold air months in, 20s in the midwest. if you have been outside at all this morning, you have been feeling the brisk northwest winds gusting to 30 miles per hour. we have cleared out nicely here but we are watching the jet stream coming down this way from the west northwest. first ones are going to move in here, starting tomorrow. in fact, here we are by midnight, all is quiet, we are going to watch another system with a couple of flurries but more clouds around for tuesday. with temperatures around 40, even if we get a few flakes, they are going to melt on contact. the big concern is going to be for tuesday night into wednesday morning. clouds thicken up. notice the areas of light snow and snow showers, they can put a little snow down. by 9:30 wednesday this thing has already passed us. this is

i'm andrea roane. >> i'm mike hydeck. glad you're with us this morning. good morning, monika. >> good morning. >> it is cold weather coming down from the north. you said less than an inch you're thinking? >> combined today and tomorrow. there will be a little snow today and a little snow tomorrow. if i have any concern, it will be for slick spots more tomorrow morning than this morning because this morning's snow will probably not start until after sunrise. we're at a point now where the ground is not as cold, even though we're subfreezing. we'll have a little bit of light coming through the clouds and temps are in the mid-30s with light snow. it will melt on the roads, maybe stick a tiny, tiny bit on the grassy areas. the snow is coming from the ohio valley. you see it coming out of ohio and west virginia, southwestern pennsylvania seeing just a little bit of it. it's very lie right now over toward morgantown trying to get into garrett county. some of this will dry up over the mountains but we will see a little bit here as we get into later this morning.
