andrea. you know, this is already one of the busiest and most stressful travel days of the year, and this weather is certainly not helping. laguardia, about 10% of flights canceled here so far. laguardia and newark airports currently in the top three worldwide for delays and cancellations. that is not a list that anybody wants to be on right now. airport managers really hoping everybody gets to their destinations. but they're also being realistic about it. they have cots, blankets, pillows and food on the ready for travelers who may end up, unfortunately, spending their thanksgiving at the airport. a lot of travelers have taken advantage of the airline's waiving of those change fees. and these affected areas and managed to slide in earlier this morning ahead of the storm. obviously, we are getting out of that safety window right now. outside we've seen the rain turn to sleet and it has been steady throughout the morning heading into the afternoon. all in all, about 3 1/2 million people expect

i'm andrea mitchell in washington. president obama has landed in myanmar, also known as burma, for his second leg of his trip after landing an environment deal with china. wide ranging deal that china has ever agreed to cut greenhouse gases and transition to nonfossil fuels, result of secret negotiations that have been under way for nine months. anne thompson joins me now from new york. i know this is going to take place over a long time. there are a lot of obstacles ahead but this still marks a very big change from the stalemate between the u.s. and china when the president first went to copenhagen when he first took office blocking any -- >> huge transition into the low carbon economy, andrea. you consider that the u.s. and china are responsible for one-third of all the carbon emissions in the world, the fact that you have the two largest economies and the two largest emiters saying we're going to do something about this sends a powerful signal to the business world and the rest of the world. first of all, the united

>> hi, andrea.eporting on the story has included beyond that a bomb plot that it could involve an attempt to blow up the st. louis arch that you see behind me here. also, as you mentioned. assassination plots for the ferguson police chief tom jackson as well as county prosecutor bob mckelly. confirmation of the alleged plot has come through chief jackson himself. the federal authorities who made the arrest. and an attorney representing one of the suspects will only confirm that the two were arrested for providing false information in order to obtain a couple of 45 caliber handguns. but the federal authorities are leaving open the possibility of expanding the investigation. andrea. >> mike, do you get the sense that they could have accomplished this bomb plot? >> it does not seem that they had a lot in the way of resources. reporting through the post dispatch, includes the allegation that they were trying to purchase bomb components through undercover agents using ebt or electronic bank transfer card

>> i think what's likely to happen, andrea, is this. be interpreted as being in any way soft on what happened in that elevator and what ray rice did but he was suspended for two games. that was obviously, too soft a penalty. commissioner goodell admitted that. that was the penalty at the time. he then revised the nfl's guidelines and said there would be a six-game penalty for any first-time domestic abuse such as this one. then, after seeing the video, he suspends ray rice indefinitely. what rice is going to contend is that essentially, goodell and the league knew what was in the video. even if they hadn't seen it, he told them in fairly complete detail what it was. now, he is being punished twice for the same offense. the offense actually exceeds the new guidelines. it exceeds the new guidelines so there is no logic behind this new decision by goodell. i think there is a very good chance none of which excuses ray rice for his behavior. a very good chance that he is, in fact, reinstated. i think there is almost no chance any team would

andrea mitchell here in the studio. your thoughts on what we have seen transpire tonight. >> what the voters are telling us, they don't like government. government is doing too much. they want the business community, private sector to do mo more. the job approval is very, very low. lower than when he was elected. and they're angry and upset about the economy. and i think that that has been so underplayed by the democrats, the democrats never found their voice on the economic issues that they should have been able to manage. income inequality and a lack of earning power that many americans, in the states, the rule of states that were in play, it's so important. and they never found a message that is a base economic message for democrats. >> the newly elected senator elect from the state of colorado gave what i think is going to be a very -- excuse me, well-reviewed speech. he said, washington is out of touch, out of step, and out of time. >> right. >> it's hard to make a case that he's wrong on any of those three looking
