al jazeera's andrew simmons is there as these refugees march past in blisteringly hot conditions, andreworter: that is right. it is extraordinary what is happening here. the numbers seem to be growing in anything. they have been marching 20-kilometers outside the capital on the m1 motor way which in actual fact has been closed off this section, let's take a look at some of the young ones at the front. rear are we are right at the -- we are right at the front of the long, long line of marchers. there are well, children, there are males that you see a man there on crutches. with in fact his -- he only has one leg, a man who has had an injury. quite possibly a war jury in syria. there are other disabled people in wheelchairs at the front. this whole march came together over a matter of one to two days. a number of syrians felt that they could take no more. attribute pest's main railway station. they could not stand it any longer. so now you have something like a thousand people, they are mainly men, and they are -- as you can see they are being given water from volunteers here, hungarians w

let's get to cnn's andrew stevens live in hong kong. andrew. >> reporter: big meetings, john. if the recent past is anything to go by, cyber security is high on the agenda. that is what xi jinping has been hearing repeatedly during meetings in seattle which he kicked off the trip to the u.s. he mentioned it in his opening address. his policy address as it was called. he met leaders from u.s. leaders, particularly from the tech industries. a forum held by former u.s. treasury secretary today. 15 of the biggest tech companies in the united states were there along with the 15 chinese tech companies. you see some of the picture there is of some of the people involved. tim cook and jeff bezos was there. the message from the u.s. and relayed from the commerce secretary at the forum, was that china needs to do so much more, john, on protecting u.s. interests in china. particularly in the high tech industry. giving u.s. more market access and a level playing field and stop hacking. stop cyber hacking and piracy. xi jinping, for his part, is say

it's kind of a tent city at night and our correspondent andrew simmons can join us and andrew describeis around you. we are seeing the numbers seeming to grow. >> reporter: yes, they are growing but to look around you would think they were actually diminishing because it's so incredibly hot at the moment that people are trying to seek shade so they are around the rail way stations, still in the front of the station there are police in two rows pinning in those who are sitting down and then forming a line, stopping any refugees from entering the station. tourists, however, normal travelers, travelers who are booked on trains ahead of time, are traveling through then transcript and the trains we understand are running again with massive disruption. there was no explanation for closing the station. early on tuesday morning police came in and the refugees were cleared from the station concourse. there have been hectic scenes on monday night with the last train of the day took off for germany and people were pushed away because each of the trains were completely over crowded and had standin

we're told normally it's about a 40-minute drive from joint base andrews into the city. i'm going to guess their make better time, maybe 20 minutes or so, but this will not be a formal parade, but a motorcade. we'll see him tomorrow and the public will get a better chance to view him here in washington, d.c. let me quickly turn to pete williams, our justice correspondent. pete, the security operation not only around to washington but over the three cities, philadelphia and new york, is unlike anything we've seen because of multiple events, especially in new york. how is all this being handled? >> lester, that's a nifty little car the pope is in and he can probably find a parking place in washington if there were any. the vast stretches of the district will be closed to parking, closed to traffic. the same thing in new york, same thing in philadelphia. this is undoubtedly the largest security challenge ever in the united states. the secret service director joseph clancy was at andrews air force base to watch the pope come in. his people had been in rome to learn more abou

andrew simmons reports. >> flow of refugees into hungary has now stopped. festivalfirst of all, police pun place razor wire. police were advising the refugees who looked in such a bedraggled shape, police blocked the rail line five, six hours, possibly seven hours ahead of that deadline and they were unable to come forward. they were told to go to the official crossing point which is around two o two kilometers way, officials are saying this is situation now, any refugees have to go to those official crossing points or have to prove they are refugees, if they are economic migrants they will be turned around. at midnight there will be big changes in asylum law which could mean that anybody coming into serbia that will be a safe third country, that's where they'll register as a refugee and their claims of asylum if entered into in hungary won't be valid, they'll be turned around and sent back. so a large number of refugees could be accumulating in serbia and a big humanitarian issue there. if anyone crosses and manages to get through fence that will be a crim
