chu. hey dom. >> hey good morning leslie. good morning mike. good morning andrew. on the big tech names this morning. on the heels of earnings reports yesterday shares of tesla right now regaining some ground after its report up about 1.75%. the ev maker missing on both profit and revenues for the quarter, with automotive revenues dropping 8% on a year over year basis. but tesla's bitcoin holdings leading to a $600 million pop in net income. with recent changes to how companies report digital assets and their values. so tesla shares getting a bit of a boost. they're a little less volatile than we thought it was going to be given the options pricing going in. also, shares of microsoft falling this morning, even as the software giant beats on both profits and revenues for the quarter. but it missed on a few key metrics, cloud revenues falling short of expectations. they also gave softer guidance as well, renewing some concerns on ai spending and growth. so microsoft shares just down about 4% right now. and we'll end on shares of facebook parent meta platforms climbin

i want to get straight over to dom chu, who's got a look at this morning's pre-market movers. dom. >> all right. so andrewt now highlighted because they're rebounding this morning. it's modest compared to yesterday. but it's still a rebound following that big sell off. as you point out yesterday on that deep sea concern. some analysts like morgan stanley are saying the sell off might have been overblown, even after cutting the target prices of major chip makers, along with nvidia. by the way, remember nvidia lost almost $600 billion in market cap on monday. and for context sake, that's roughly the size in terms of market cap bigger than netflix and roughly the size of unitedhealth. so kind of gives you an idea of what the nvidia market loss was yesterday. nvidia, by the way, now dropping the third most valued company in the world with a market cap of just below $3 trillion that trails behind microsoft in second place. and the openai partner also was hit hard by the deep sea rout just last tuesday. nvidia passed apple closing at $3.5 trillion to apple's 3.35 trillion. apple did reclaim the top title, one o

chu he has a look at this morning's premarket movers. what's driving things today? what's the overall feeling for the market? >> sure. becky, andrewng. we will start things off with a few analyst calls this morning driving some of the action, especially in some do you components. we have barclays upgrading boeing. analysts are seeing momentum on production, also deliveries and cash levels as well. potential light at the end of the tunnel after a very difficult year. barclay's is also upgrading citi group from an overweight to equal weight rating. boeing up about 2%, citi group up nearly that as well. also microsoft, salesforce and snowflake are being named top picks in 2025 over at piper sandler. analysts are seeing these three vendors as best positioned to capitalize on ai trends going into 2025. microsoft up about a percent. sales force down a quarter of a percent and snowflake up 1.5%. abilityists are down grading goldman sachs. saying as capital markets recover the firm's reliance on the global banking and markets revenue limits possible potential momentum going into 2025. goldman shares just about flat in the premarket trade.
