as andrew mccabe noted earlier the boat launch was the last place he was known to be, so it's not surprising at all to me that he was found today apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. but i think it was really important -- everyone seems to be really preoccupied with did he die two days ago or was he on the loose or did he die today? i can almost guarantee you he was within tworsf committing the crime, so i think our take aways are complete relief. our hearts are with the victim's families. but the overall message here is that the signs were there. we're never going to stigmatize mental illness, but we have to look at the fact that this was a man who got care, was in a facility for two weeks this summer, and still was able to get guns. let's focus on what we can learn
