live tonight in hollywood, i'm andrew perez. news. this time from the persian gulf where the u.s. navy has lost contact with two vessels. janine is right in the newsroom story. lemrned. the pentagon says that two small u.s. navy craft traveling between kuwait and bahrain some how entered iranian territorial waters. officials aren't going to say if this was intentional or not but at some point the u.s. navy lost contact with those ships and the ten sailors onboard. a spokesperson for the pentagon says that they have been in contact with iran. they have received assurances that the crew and the vessels will be returned promptly. no word on when this might happen, however. no doubt there have been tensions in this region. it was just a few days ago, in fact, that the u.s. navy says that the iranian -- the iranian revolutionary guard fired rocket close to an aircraft carrier on december 26th. no doubt tensions in this region. a scary situation. small navy -- ten soldiers and two small navy vessels are in iranian waters. no word on when they will be returned but the pent goal says they
