we've heard quite a bit from district attorney andrew wylie as he stopped here at the checkpoint this. he also told us there had been an investigation within the past 12 months into joyce mitchell's relationship with one of the inmates, david sweat, one of the escapees, david sweat. we know that they've been looking at her relationship with richard matt. but david sweat, there was a complaint apparently from a guard in the prison that they seemed awfully close. the investigation went on. the two were separated, their shifts were changed in the tailor shop so they wouldn't be in the shop together but there was no evidence found to support the claim or the complaint, so nothing was done. it was all handled in-house in the prison. the d d.a. said he didn't know about it until the investigation began. he said mitchell gave only marginal information at the beginning of the questioning but has given more information, more helpful and useful information. he did say she gave some contraband. wouldn't go into what it was. we do know also she was supposed to be the getaway driver and because of
