andria borba said it all started when he took his dog for a walk. >> isn't that crazy? >> reporter: it was 24 hours ago 5-year-old brett bowman was in these woods near his parents house. it was dark, cold. he was in this forest with his dog and a t-shirt on even though it was just 40 degrees outside. brett and his dog tank were last seen at 4:30 in the afternoon going out on what he called a field trip near his parents' house on fox drive. crews from as far away as san mateo county searched the thick trees and brush in a forest filled with bears and mountain lions all night long looking for brett. just before 8 a.m. brett and tank were found by the brookdale fire department 2 miles from his parents' house. he was fine if a little cold and told firefighters thank you when they gave him a jacket to warm up in before he was reunited with his parents. >> what makes this story even more incredible, brett didn't have shoes on either. >>> take a look at this. it's a woman stealing a package from a doorway in concord and, well, she tries to lift it up, but it's a little too hea
