let's give love to the animal kingdom. i want to introduce you to sarah. she's at the cincinnati zoo. she's an 11-year-old cheetah and has set a new world speed record. she did 100 meters in 5.95 seconds. that is better than the human record by 4 seconds. she was tracked at 61 miles an hour. so this cheetah's probably the only creature on earth faster than usain bolt which is kind of crazy. the fuzzy dog you see on the ground, that's how they get them to run this fast. they have a flexible spine that allows their front legs to stretch far. they'll cover 20 to 22 feet in one stride, that's how fast they're moving and they're off the ground for a lot of it because they have those clowes so they get incredible traction. sarah at cincinnati zoo is the world's fastest creature. >> i'm impressed. i'm impressed it's not that much faster than usain bolt. >> 4 seconds. >> that's pretty incredible too. >> props to usain. >> psychologists say, which we've been talking about the olympics, that bronze medal winners are happier than silver medalists. >> really? >> yeah.
